At Toronto Pearson, we believe that being a good neighbour means balancing our operations by engaging with communities that surround the airport. We strive to have a positive impact by investing in social good and community-building initiatives through our community investment program, the Propeller Project. The annual Runway Run supports the Propeller Project.

Groups supported by the Propeller Project include:

    Civic Action

    Civic Action

The Propeller Project is a lead sponsor of a research initiative through Civic Action’s Escalator: Jobs for Youth Facing Barriers program. Through this initiative, Civic Action will work with private sector employers to explore internal barriers to hiring young people and what can be done to overcome them. Civic Action plans to develop and share practical resources with employers to help them hire and retain young people.

    Scientists in School

    Scientists in School

The Propeller Project is a Catalyst sponsor of Scientists in School. Through our three-year partnership, over 10,000 students at 25 local area schools will experience Scientists in School’s half-day STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) enrichment workshops. Connecting youth with a world of discovery and experimentation, this partnership will encourage an active interest in STEM careers in this generation.

We look forward to sharing the future community success stories we will achieve through this exciting program that you are helping us grow through your participation in the Runway Run! Please visit www.torontopearson.com/propellerproject to learn more about the program and how to get involved.
